9 August 2011

You may have noticed the lack of recent posts on blurb it, ummm… recently.

For upcoming events check out the Calendar of Events.

Our Furry Friends Need Your Help!

10 March 2010

The Animal Welfare League needs your help!

A fire destroyed the Animal Welfare Leagues’ warehouse (in Labrador) early February 27.  No animals were hurt but there was more than $1 million damage and lots of precious supplies were destroyed.

They are in urgent need of:

  • dry and tinned food
  • towels
  • blankets.

Donations can be placed at any GCCC Library or the admin centres at Nerang and Surfers. You can even donate via the AWL website.

How about starting a collection of tins or goods at school and then bring your bounty into a library? I can see the dogs and cats jumping and purring as I write.

Please help our furry friends!

Hello and have you heard?

22 February 2010

This is my first post as myself! I was posting under Melli’s username, but now she needs her ‘identity’ back. I hope I have succeeded in being both confusing and mysterious!

I promised to keep everyone informed about the Finders Keeper’s Markets in Brisbane. The dates for 2010 are …
Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th June
Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th November.  They will again be held at The Old Museum. (Beautiful building) I know I am getting in early but I thought I should, just in case you have an assignmentt or some other important event looming. Oh and if you’re arty or passionate or even a bit of both you can apply to be a part of the markets. Go to their website to find out more.

I shall endeavour to let everyone know closer to the event. x

Who you gonna call??? GHOSTBUSTERS

17 December 2009

Okay, I think it is pretty official now, if I have seen it on imdb.  Although we will have to wait until 2012 until it comes to our screens! GHOSTBUSTERS III is going to be made!!!

While you might be too young to have seen it on the big screen when the first two came out, Ghostbusters 3 I’m sure will be so full of laughs and thrills – that will make you wish you did!  I remember being VERY, VERY scared of all the different ghosts, until I re-watched it recently and saw how very ’80’s the special effects were.  It may have been rated PG – bit I know that it scared me!!

SO – have you seen the first 2 movies?  Who are your favourite characters? What do you hope to see??
