Making music live! Registrations open for new workshop series

by

Do you like to make music live and loud? Are you aged between 14 and 19 years old and want to be in a band? Then we’ve got the workshop for you!

Council’s A-Venue Making Music Live! initiative is a free 10 week program that provides aspiring musicians with the experience of playing with a band and performing in a live gig. All musical instruments, technical equipment and “band coaches” are provided.

Registrations are now open for the orientation and jam session on this Saturday 4 April from noon to 3pm at the Albert Waterways Community Centre, corner of Hooker and Sunshine Boulevards, Mermaid Waters.

For more information contact Bianca Svantesson on 5581 6075 or email bsvantesson@goldcoast.qld.gov.au or visit the A-Venue MySpace page. Bookings are essential and a commitment to attend all session is required. Let Bianca know before Saturday if you’re keen to be involved.
